TIDAL’s main selling point are its “high fidelity” sound quality and mission to put the power back into the artists’ hands (which, at this point, is still somewhat vague). But little did we know that the $20-a-month subscription fee also included the chance to get a personal phone call from Jay Z.

According to Business Insider, Hov has been phoning new TIDAL users thanking them for signing up to his streaming service. “He called some of his fans and one of them made the funniest comment,” revealed TIDAL executive Vania Schlogel. “He said, ‘this is the best customer service call I’ve ever received!’”
Apparently Jack White and other artists behind TIDAL have also been thanking their fans via a personal phone call. Musicians involved in the service are given their own accounts on the site which allows them to monitor the streaming activity of their music, as well as access to users’ contact information.
That second part might sound worrying to some, but those concerns would probably disappear in an instant if you found yourself answering the phone to Jay Z or Jack White.
