Music’s power couple kicked off their summer “On the Run” North American tour on Wednesday night. Taking the stage at SunLife Stadium in Miami, Florida, Beyoncé and Jay Z gave a electrifying first show, spanning over 2 hours in the sweltering heat. The pair opened the night with their “’03 Bonnie & Clyde” collaboration as fans sang and rapped each lyric out loud.
With stars such as mother-to-be Kelly Rowland, and Jamie Foxx in attendance, the pop diva and Brooklyn MC went back and forth through a long catalogue of hits, anthems, and album cuts in front of the sold-out crowd. Closing with The Blueprint 3 single “Young Forever,” what appears to be a video of Beyoncé and Jay Z’s wedding in 2008 flashed on the main screen, the first-time any footage from their private ceremony was shown. Their co-headlining stadium tour runs through July, ending on August 5th at AT&T Park in San Francisco.
